Our original mortage was with Ameraquest (don't use the either, they lied to us, they stated that they would not sell our mortage but within 3 months it was sold to EMC mortage). We were flood victems of the Eastern coast on June 28. We are in a flood zone and have flood insurance that we pay for. We filed a claim to our flood insurance company and they sent us a check addressed to us and EMC. The problem/ripoff is EMC wants us to sign the check over to them, and will send us money as we can prove repairs. Now we plan on repairing our house but how are we to do it without the money. They are rude on the phone. We have been unhappy with this company.
