On 2/18/06 I needed my front brake pads replaced. They said I also needed to replace my rotors, so I did. On 9/12/06 My pads started squeaking again like they do when they need to be replaced, a mere 7 months later. I took it in on 9/17/06 to have them fix it because it should not have worn down so quickly. After they looked at it they called me and told me that it wasn't the pads, that it was the caliper that needed to be replaced and they would do it for $280.00. At this point I could not afford it so I bought the calipers myself and had a mechanic friend of mine help me to work on it. After we pulled the tire off we looked at the calipers we sae that they were fine, only the pads needed to be replaced. So not only did they not fix the problem that they should have fixed in the first place, but they wanted to charge me for work I did'nt even need.
In hindsight, I don't think they needed to replace my rotors originally. Anyway, after we replaced the pads I took the old pads in and asked for a refund and they outright refused. I just wonder how many unknowing people they have ripped off.
