On 06/01/02, I stopped at the 76 in Prineville, OR to purchase some gas. I went inside to pay and $20.00 was charged to my debit card. I requested a receipt and then left. On 6/3/02 I checked my bank account online and realized that an additional $23.00 was charged to my debit card by Prineville 76. I called Prineville 76 and explained my situation. They told me that they no longer issue customer refunds. I must call my bank and fill out a dispute form.
I called my bank and they tell me that Prineville 76 must issue me a refund immediately. I explained to my bank's representative that Prineville 76 refuses to refund me my money and that I need to fill out a dispute form. I'm placing a complaint because I think that this store intentionally charged me for something I did not purchase. They would not give me any kind of information
So I can settle this matter and now I don't know if I will see any more charges on my account. To anyone out there who is thinking about buying gas with their debit card, I advise them not to. Use cash as much as you can.
