Precision Towing
"AAA" Affiliate / truck Operator "pedro unprofessional, fraudulant, hazardous service

Eing a "AAA" dispatched tow truck, I expected a professional type of service, free from anything that would make me feel a lack of confidence in the service, or involve what could be considered safety risks.

The service i got was far from my expectations. The tow truck operator had a considerable amount of difficulty getting my van onto the flatbed ("first lined up to far to one side, then to far to the other... Each time requiring him to roll van back off flatbed so as to properly align van with flat bed...) it took 3 times of rolling van back off being half way loaded... Each time requiring me to help him push van backwards. On the fourth try he finally got it aligned right and proceeded to pull it all the way up onto flatbed - TO FAR!

As he winched the van up, the spare wheel cover on back of van came in contact with part of the tow truck and dented it in four places. When i pointed out what he just did his response was "I just did that", he then asked me what I would call the part of van that he dented, i told him "the spare wheel cover" he then asked me to write down a description of the damage, for him & provided me with his clipboard and HE INDICATED on the work order fom WHERE TO WRITE my description of the damage.

After writing it in the box on form he had told me to, upon examination I discovered the place he had me write was actually for noting any PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE and
by noting damage in that spot, actually wouldve RELEASED HIM OF ANY LIABILITY. At which point I noted in big letters, " damage caused by tow truck operator".

Upon noticing what I had written it was then he decided he should call his boss and tell him that he damaged my van. He then said that he was going to go by his shop so his boss could look at the damage. Where upon I informed him I had people waiting for the arrival of my van at service center.

He then called his boss back and told him I didnt have the time to go there after which we embarked towards my destination-"kind of"... Upon pulling out of parking lot the driver said "oh I shouldve went the other way", yet instead of turning around to correct his mistake, he meandered onward, resulting in the trip being longer than it shouldve been.=

As I previously stated what I thought I could expect from a service that was sent out by company as big as "AAA" that prided itself on the quality of there road service, was actually anything but that.

Upon closer examination of the truck, I noticed the condition of the truck was less than what I could feel comfortable, safe & secure with. The windshield was cracked, it had a safety light broken on side of truck, rear tire had a big chunk out of sidewall as well as most of the tires were worn, some of which were showing the tread wear indicators which show when tread gets to low. The driver also did not wear his seat belt even it is mandated by law in state of ca.
