On June 25th I contacted Lone Star Engine and talked to a guy named David. I told him to check my car out for me that i thought i had threw an rod. David said they would come and get it dismantle it and visually inspect it. That was on 6-26-06. The next day david called and told me that I needed a new engine and that would be around $1900. I told him to put my engine back together that I would be there to pick it up and tow it myself. To make a long story short I still did not have a car by 7-26-06. It had been a month and my car was still not put back together.
I talked to Raphael, the owner and he said it would be done by August 4th. I went into pick up my car and it was still torn apart. I drive a truck cross country and I am gone 2-3 weeks at a time. I told him I couldn't wait any longer. He said he would put my old engine back in and I could pick it up when I came back in 2 weeks and he would not charge me any storage on it since it took so long.
The next week he called and told me I owed him $2300 for and engine plus $15 a day in storage. He is keeping my car and says he is going to sell it if I don't pay him. I never signed anything authorizing him to put an engine in my car and I told him to take it out. He said that he was going to sell it at an auction and wont tell me were it is. That I owe him money. I told him I have a signed paper saying for him to only inspect it and tell me what was wrong. He just insists I owe him for a new engine and wont give me my car or tell me were it is. I am trying to find an attorney that can help me. I have a lein on that vehicle. It is August 28th now and I still have no vehicle and Raphael says I now owe him $2500. This is my only car and I have a wife that is suppose to be going to the Dr. For treatments twice a week and can't get there.
No one should ever go to Lone Star Engines for any kind of repairs he is ripping people off!!!
