This bunch of backyard hacks brag themselves up to be the euro car experts for the metro detroit area. My 1983 BMW 320I needed a trans, so I called up this bunch of retards and they said they have a 320I setting in back that they had rebuilt the trans on but the guy never paid for the repairs and they had taken the car. They told me $500 for the trans.
When i went to pick up the trans I noticed some cosmetic parts I could use and asked them how much they wanted for the parts. They told me they would sell me the whole car for $550 sence most of the motor parts where alreadt taken and the frame was rusted almost in half from it being a michigan car.
I had the car towed to my place cost me $150. I pulled out the trans and the other parts I wanted. I pulled the shot trans from my BMW and installed the new clutch and the rebuilt trans in my bmw. My Drive shaft and shift plate would not line up i pulled the trans back out and took some measurments and saw that the one from the other bmw was 1 inch longer than mine.
I called up the idiots that sold me the trans and they had no clue. I then called up a couple BMW dealerships that where able to look up the differnt year ranges and trans combos and they told me that the 1982 and prevous trans where longet than the one used in the 1983 and i would have to swap over the driveshaft and shift plate that where on the 1982 wich would not have been a problem if they where any good.
Again i called the euro idoits and they had nothing i could use. So i had to search the BMW forums and find a shift plate and drive shaft from a 1982.
I get the parts in instal them drain and flushed the trans, filled it with the right syn fluid, drove it off the ramps whent to drive it down the rod and it grind going into second gear. The bloody sincros for 2nd gear are shot so the trans was never rebuild. Lying scamming bastards.
I call up the Euro bastards and they say the trans doesnt have second gear because i installed it wrong, any mechanics reading this will know that that is complete bs. So they wont do anything and are still out there scamming people
