I have bought a 96 gmc suburban 4x4 with 67,000 miles from b&g auto sales in colton ca. When i drove it home and got off the frwy the transmission shifted hard between 1st and 2nd gear.
I called the dealer and it was sent out for trans service. The trans shop could find anything wrong, so i was on my way to las vegas and the trans. Boild over catching the engine on fire, the trans was destoyed and went back to the trans shop for a complete overhaul.
A week later i picked it up and drove it approx. 15 miles, without warning the trans was shifting hard again and five minutes later the trans had boild over and would not go into gear same as before. It seems that gmc has a defect with this transmission, the transmission tech doesnt know whats causing this problem, can anyone help?
