I purchased a rebuilt transmission from super shops for a custom car I was building along with a torque converter a 2500 stall converter, when it was delivered i noticed it looked like the wrong converter and some of the transmission pan bolts were missing I talked to the manager gilbert morales and he assured me everything was right. When the car was finished and the trans installed the torque converter was not the right one but a cheaper lower stall one so I had to get the proper one installed it and couldn't get the trans to operate properly. Took it to the local trans shop had it taken out and apart, turnes out it was not a rebuilt at all but a junk esed trans with missmatched parts and some that did not even belong in that trans, so it cost over $850 to fix it. Called gilbert but he did not return calls so I went to the shop. They have all kind of excuses, their delivery man must have picked up the wrong trans (a used core) or the delivery man switched the trans etc. Etc. They would not refund any money because i did not bring it back to them (if i did i would never known about the ripoff they pulled on me) they did take back the torque converter and said I would get a 200 refund in the mail in 5-10 days check never came so in reality they stole the converter back. There are complaints about them on san diego city search also DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!
