UPS Ebay ripoff Paid for Fiberglass hood $459.95 and never received

Do not buy any products from BOA-FX. You have a 50/50 chance of not getting the product you order and they will not assist you if you don't receive it. BOA-FX has the worst customer service of any company I've ever dealt with.

I purchased a fiberglass hood from BOA-FX off ebay on 5/23 for $459.95. I never received a response from BOA-FX on when the hood would be shipped so I e-mailed them and asked for a shipping date. BOA-FX responded to my e-mail with a website address for Overnite Transportation, a tracking number, a 800 number and instructions to call Overnite to set-up a delivery date. On 5/25 I went on line and using the link BOA-FX provided for Overnite Transportation I click on the link and the link took me to the UPS website.

I was a little confused but I knew UPS had bought Overnite so I entered the tracking number BOA-FX provided and the hood showed it was to arrive in Phoenix on 5/26. I then called the 800 number provided by BOA-FX and got UPS. I told the UPS customer service agent Brittney that I wanted to schedule a delivery. Brittney transferred me to Judy and Judy scheduled my delivery for 5/25. I thought that was strange, the website states it's not suppose to be in Phoenix until 5/26 and let Judy know also. Judy stated no it's here it will be delivered 5/25. I said ok.

Well 5/25 came and went and no hood. Called UPS and they rescheduled it for 5/26.5/26 came and went and no hood. Called UPS everyday from 5/26 until 6/23. The same answer, we don't know if our driver scanned the bar code on the box the hood was in and then accidentally left if sitting on BOA-FX 's dock because we don't show it leaving our terminal in Texas or if it's just lost.

On 6/6 called Kevin at BOA-FX and left him a voice message. No return call. I E-mailed Kevin @ BOA-FX on 6/6 asking for there help and explaining I never received my hood and what all took place with UPS. Kevin @ BOA-FX replied "We checked Overnite website and it states the hood is in Phoenix. Call the Phoenix terminal and see if they can find it." I replied back that I know what the website states but that is not correct. Again asking for assistants and explained to Kevin what UPS had said. Kevin @ BOA-FX replied with calling me names and cursing at me.

I then told Kevin @ BOA-FX I would deal with this through ebay & Pay Pal. Again Kevin @ BOA-FX sent a reply cursing and calling me names. Later on that afternoon I received a e-mail from Rick @ BOA-FX apologizing for Kevin's e-mails stating Kevin had been having a bad day. (Don't we all; still no way to treat your customer) Rick seemed like he was going to help get things straighten out. Rick stated he would makes some calls and get back to me.

On 6/7 Rick e-mailed me and stated, "Yep it's lost" (what I been trying to tell them all along). Rick then stated I would need to file a claim with UPS. (I thought why would I file the claim your company shipped it) So at this point I just wanted to get this thing over with. I filed the claim with UPS on 6/8. Made several attempts to call the Jennifer with UPS who was assigned to my claim. No returned calls.

So on 6/20 I went back to the UPS website looking for claim info and found this: "UPS Lost Package Claim Process. If a package is not delivered, UPS can help by performing a search to locate your package. If the package cannot be found, the shipper can file a claim up to the declared value of the package contents. Shippers and receivers can report a lost package on UPS.com. Shippers are encouraged to report the lost package because claim notification letters are not sent to receivers."

Well since BOA-FX is the shipper and I'm the receive no wonder UPS would not return my calls for claim status. There was also a place to enter your claim number and I did and the claim came back denied. Another several calls to Jennifer at UPS with no return call.

On 6/22 I e-mailed Rick @ BOA-FX to let him know UPS had denied the claim and provided him with links to UPS website so he could verify that the claim had been denied. Also provided Kevin with the link about UPS only dealing with the shipper (BOA-FX shipper and not the receiver Me)."

Kevin stated he would get me a hood out to me today (6/22) and he would go to war with UPS" I replied to Kevin that that would be perfect. Kevin @ BOA-FX replied back that the hood was sitting on the dock waiting to be shipped to me. I replied back and asked Kevin to provide me with a tracking number. No reply back from Kevin.

A couple hours later I sent Kevin another e-mail reminding him to send me a tracking number. Two hours later Kevin replies back to me with this response " Our freight rep came by a little while ago we had told him about this two weeks ago. He has been following it also and saw it had been denied. He emphatically stated that UPS would now pay the claim and told me you would be cut a check either today or tomorrow. Please call Billy @ XXX - XXXX. At this time we can't ship out the hood sitting here because you should be receiving payment for the first one very soon."

After reading Kevin's e-mail I couldn't beleive that this company was so stupid. The link I provided Kevin to the UPS website that explains the UPS Claim Process clearly reads all claim notifications are mailed to the shipper. BOA-FX is the shipper. Kevin provided me with the UPS freight rep phone number and wanted me to call and talk to him which I did call on 6/22 & 6/23 and left voice messages with no return call from the UPS Freight Rep.

Today is 30 days from the date I purchased a the fiberglass hood from BOA-FX. I have no hood or no refund. Bottom line is I paid BOA-FX for a product I never received and had no control over the shipping of that product. BOA-FX has made no attempt to correct the situation, instead pushes the problem off on me the customer saying I have to deal with UPS when I can't do anything about it. If UPS will only deal with the shipper and BOA-FX is the shipper than what is the customer to do? I will take this fight to ebay and Pay Pal and a attorney if I have to.

Buyers beware of this company. Don't buy from them. They have shady business practices and provide no customer service and are horrible at communicating. I hope to have them kicked off ebay soon.

Everything that is stated above can be proved through e-mails and documentation.
