I purchased a car from Brighton Ford with two promises. The first being that I would get a certain amount for my trade in and second that they would hold my check until I got paid. Neither happened. Now to a certain degree I expect sales people to be pushy and lie but to me this takes the cake.

The "wonderful" sales manager managed to turn everything around on me and make it my fault. This does not surprise me since that is their job.

It was my fault that the sales person did not fill out the hold payment paper, it was my fault that the sales person gave the finance manger the wrong amount, that their secertary does not give phone messages (3 weeks worth), and last but not least my fault that my bank and other creditors charge fees for "bounced checks".
Now let's remember that I don't work for a car dealer or ever have. I assumed that this was their job.

Lastly, due to my refusal to pay the full down payment since I have had many fees to pay for due to their mistake, the owner feels personally attacked and betrayed.
