I had been a customer of Ford Credit for over seventeen years. I had been earning a six figure income during this time and so, naturally, I was a preferred customer.in January I lost my job and had to declare bankruptcy. It is amazing as to how fast Ford Credit changed their personality! As long as I was gainfully employed and doing fine, they were always there to "help" in any way they could.
As soon as I experienced a hardship and started having financial difficulty, they come right in and reposses my car! I admit I was late on three payments, but it was only by several days. THe amount I payed was short also, but I was always within fifty dollars of the full amount that was owed every month. Now this ocured for only three months. All previous months were on time and were for the full amount.
What I find strange is how Ford Motor Credit never sent me a notice stating that the amount I had sent during this three month period was unacceptable or that the several days that the payment was late was unacceptable. I just came home from a trip and my car was gone.
So this is an example of how they "help" their customers? Adolf Hitler did a better job!!
