Car insurance claims rip-off

My daughter had a claim with Nationwide for her 2003 Toyota Corolla. There was damage to the front passenger side. First, although she pays for rental car coverage, she wasn't allowed to rent a car until the claims adjuster authorized repairs of the car, so she had to drive her damaged, and not particularly safe car for several days while waiting for the claims adjuster, and then for the parts to come in. A few weeks after the repairs it rained and her headlamp fogged up. It was only then that she realized that they hadn't replace her creacked headlamp. It turned out that the claims adjuster hadn't notices it so they body shop couldn't fix it until the whole claims thing was done again. Then the new headlight wasn't aligned. So she took it back in again, and found out that the problem is due to the parts not fitting correctly because Nationwide would not allow the body shop to use Toyota parts and insisted that they use cheaper knock-off parts. So, the headlamp can't be aligned, the right front quarter panel doesn't fit right and the trade-in value of the car is drastically reduced because it has sub-standard parts. Not to mention that the premiums were already too high and are now going to go up. Nationwide is a rip-off. Do not use this company for anything. I have them for my house insurance and I'm changing companies, because if they put sub-standard parts in cars imagine what they would do with a claim for a house!
