Wynn's Extended Care Warranty
Ripoff Provider splits fine hairs and practices shady business

Wynn's refused to service my jeep twice. They split hairs to find loop holes, and their goal is to finish the 2 year business with their contract holders with a profit on their side. How would they be a business any other way? They don't want to spend more than what you paid into the warranty, so they will do everything in their power to ensure your inherent loss will be met with the lowest dollar by the end date or mileage of the contract. But when the avoidance of a contracted promise is so blatantly that of a breach of contract... How can the consumer be held financially responsible to obtain, through litigations, the positive and right repramands which is deserved? In other words, if the company would have kept their promise, legal action would not have been sought, therefore, they induced the cause and should have to cover the full cost of the effect.

1 year after i purchased my jeep, a rod started pecking in the lower of my engine. I took it to the place of purchase, and they said it was a rod. However, the garage DID inform me that i would be responsible for the teardown and diagnosis, which i already understood. What drove me away, was that he said it would be 2 or 3 days before an inspector could get out. I had classes, and no other ride, so i said hold off for 2 days. He advised me not to drive on the interstate, and said it'd be cool.

The next day, the rod threw and the engine locked. He called wynn's and told them what had happened... Come to find out that i voided my warranty by driving it away after i first noticed the noise. The mechanic explained to the adjustor that the engine locking up didn't cause any more damage from it's present state... Itt needed to come either way. Wynn's said they were going to replace the affected rod... Leave the other 7 old ones in, and rebuild an engine for 1 rod. No way. They left me with a $2,100 engine to buy. I had my jeep towed to the REAL jeep fabricator and got a 2 year old engine with less than 30,000 for $1,500.

2 weeks ago, my rear end goes out, this time, i do everything right and i get the jeep towed.inspector comes out on friday and approves the claim. Mechanic orders the rearend same day. Monday... Mechanic calls and tell me the inspector called back and chaged his mind. That they were't going to honor it. They calculated the size of my tires, and compared them to the LOWEST RECOMMENDED size for my year, make of jeep... Which was a 205 75 r15. I run 31x10.5. They said the difference in size was considered an upgrade, and that i could have caused a mis-read in the odometer, so they didn't know if i'd gone over my mile limit or not.

A goodyear tire rep told me that the jeep wrangler has anywhere from 3-9 tire size options... He should know... Goodyear furnishes tires for lots of jeep! My jeep had 235 75 r15 on it when i bought it and signed the contract. He told me they had a plus or minus system of 10%, meaning, i can have any tire, so long as it's within 10% of the stock specs as described by the vehic manufacturer... Yet, the words "tire", "10%", or "stock specs" appear 0 times in my exclusions and obligations on my contract.

Despite efforts of myself, the owner of the car lot, and the poor mechanic who got stuck with that dana 35 rear end, wynn's has refused to consider changing their minds, and hangs up on me when i call and give them my contract number. If a contract says wynn's on it... You're bound to lose... Avoid this company, and unite in numbers. A message need to be sent to shady business such as, and let them know that the american consumer is still the one in charge, and hold the destiny as to the success or failure of the business.

Is it right for these insurance agencies, warranty providers, auto or homeowners insurance companies to treat customers like this and make a blatent scandalous profit by fim-flamming? No is it right for the consumer being wronged by one of these parasitic agencies to have to cover the litigation costs if it comes down to it? No... The company is the one that forced you to take legal action against a breach of contract, so they should have to pay the court and attorney fees.
