Triad Finacial has been a continuing battle for me. First off this is my second loan through them the first loan everything went fine. Minor issues no real hassles. Payments made.
The problems I started having were when I traded in the first vehicle for my second vehicle. The trade went through and the loan got processed. Everything was functioning properly.
Until I started getting the harassing phone calls 3-4 times a day even on Sundays. They were calling me stated I had not made a payment on my car. I told them the dealership has my car and I am no longer in possession of it. They stated the dealership had not paid off the loan and they were threatening me on ruining my credit.
I contacted my dealership and confirmed the car had been paid off. I told them the same thing every day I do no have the car and the dealership told me it was paid. They did not listen and continued to hassle me. They even went as far as to put a bad mark on my credit history for a 60 day non payment. Finnaly they got there computers straight and processed that the loan had been paid off but they still affected my credit negitively.
Now meanwhile I get my new car and the check engine light comes on. No biggie Ill take it for repair. I get the car back blam the check engine light comes on again. The car is serviced. I start driving again and the check engine light comes on for the 3rd time, time the engine is now burning oil.
I contact my local attorney general and the bbb to file a lemon law claim. I contact Roadloans / Triad to see what my options as a consumer are from a finacing point of view. They put me through to a loan specialist who states I need to go to the dealership and see if they would do a substitution of collateral. I do this and my dealer agrees.
I called Triad again and got a different specialist this time who tells me they do not do a substitution of colleteral and I need to refill out a loan request. I refill out my loan request and it gets denied I contact Triad who said they would not reapprove my loan request because of a late payment on this loan. I explain to them for the 90th time the car is a lemon.
The only reason the payment is late is becasue they told me to do a substitution of colleteral in the first place. So now I expain my situation for the 100th time and get someone whos states they have read my case and to reapply online again for my loan. I do this I call Triad after I get denied they fix the issue I am sent a check.
In the meantime the current car loan is now heading on 60 days no payment all becasue of the run around with the substitution of colleteral and having to fill out 2 new loan requests.
So anyways I get the check and the paperwork and go to the dealership. I pick out the car fill out the paperwork / sign the check and drive off in my new car. Wohoo everything is finnaly after 3 months working out right...
Wrong the dealership calls me one week later and said Triad refused to honor there own check they just sent me. They now take back my new car and return the lemon.
So now I am siting on a $28,000 car that failed inspection and is 2 months behind in payments, ruined credit, and facing a lemon law lawsuit all because of Triad Finacial not honoring a check they issued me and the runaround they gave me on how to get a replacment loan.
Now do you think these people ever use courtesy or repsect when they call you. Now they do not they are degrading and disrespectful. They do not treat you with the respect a customer deserves. They have no programs in place to help anyone facing a lemon law claim. The customer service is horrid. I got numerous different answers from different people on the same questions repeatedly.
