I seen an advertisment on television about Hondas certified used car program and it had guys in lab coats with clipboard walking around a Honda giving the impression that the car is being inspected for any defect.
This far from the truth! I work for a honda dealership and Iam the guy in the lab coat or the technician that inspects those Honda certified used cars.
They allow you about ten minutes to look the car over with a check list about two pages long including removing the valve covers to check for engine wear (yeah right).
Some times when a customer is looking to buy a used Honda they will request it be certified then the dearler forces me to just fill out the paper work when I havnt even seen the car.
I cant argue just heed to thier demands, got a family to support right.
I have complained to the honda rep over this Honda Used Car Program, but it seems this type of rip-off is OK with Honda
