What LIARS I had to deal with at this place STAY AWAY! I worked a deal on a 2005 Silverado truck that had to be dealer traded. The deal was worked out after I returned home and they called me to offer the deal. The dealership called me at home because it was near closing time and the last day of the month. They needed one more unit to reach their sells goal and receive incentive money from General Motors, I told them yes I would buy the truck for their offer they made. They then turned the deal into GM as a sold unit that night.
I went into the dealership the following morning to sign the papers. I filled out all the paperwork that was needed and signed a buyers order to commit to the numbers. I then went into finance (which the financing was already approved) to sign the GMAC contract. The finance manager said lets wait until we get the truck in and do it then, I agreed.
Later that day they called me and said the other dealer would not be reasonable with a return trade. My brother played football with the owner of the other dealership during their college years and knew him very well so he gave him a call to see what the problem was. The other dealership said there wasn't a problem with the return trade. Freedom Chevrolet continued the LIES about the other dealer was not being reasonable and said they had continued to call the owner.
The friend of the family (owner of other dealership) said he had only heard from Freedom Chevrolet one time and he was out of town but to call him first thing on Monday. I went into Freedom Chevrolet to see if they had reached an agreement with the other dealership on Monday afternoon and they said again the other dealer would not work with them.
I was frustrated at this point and ask my brother to call his friend one more time. He spoke to his friend and was told no one from Freedom Chevrolet had called him since he had been back in town. Freedom Chevrolet LIED the entire time about numerous attempts to get the deal done. The other dealership was anxious to trade the truck because it was his last 2005 and the 2006 trucks were on the lot. He would have done any reasonable trade to move his last 2005 off the lot I was told. I know you wonder why I didn't go to the other dealer in the first place, because I had been doing business with Freedom Chevrolet for years and had bought 4 cars from them in the last 5 years. I thought I would get better treatment than this being a return customer. So unless you really like to play games with dealers while buying a car STAY FAR AWAY FROM FREEDOM CHEVROLET in Monroe!!!
