On Oct 30 I purchased a new 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe and traded-in my 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer. I had 4 payments left on my trade-in and was instructed to write out a check for the pay-off but give it to the dealership, I did that and they never made the pay-off.
I also purchased an extended warranty which we were lead to believe was a GM extended warranty for $1,475.00 and it was not. It was a warranty geared to their dealership with special permission needed to go anywhere else and then deductibles would apply. I cancelled this immediately and later found out that Huntley Chevrolet never sent in the warranty to the company. Huntley Chevrolet just kept my money.
The purchase contract that we had sighned for financing our new vehicle was not honored, we were financed through another lender without our knowledge or our permission.
The DVD player which Huntley Chevrolet had installed did not work and they did nothing to fix the problem even though they said that they would. There is also an issue with some marks in the paint that was to be fixed by the dealership and never was done.
I filed a complaint with the Attorney General in Illinois and the only thing done was that I was finally able to get the $1,475.00 for the extended warranty refunded.
This dealership does at best very bad business and is extremely dishonest. They talk a good talk but that is where it ends. After a time, they don't take or return your calls and never follow through on anything. Huntley Chevrolet has costed me a lot of additional money not to mention the incredible stress created due to their bad business practices, under handed tactics and untruthfulness.
Buyer beware, they really need to be stopped.
