I was once a employee of walmart. I used to shop there all the time, they would get at least 40% of my pay check back from me shoping there. Well, I took my car in for an oil change, and told them I wanted a simple lub oil and filter, using Qaker State higher miles.
They told me the price would be $17.88. Midway through the oil change, the told me they were out of that oil, and said I could chose another typ and brand of oil. I took the tech out to the sales floor and pointed out the oil I wanted him to use, it was Motorcraft simi synthetic 5w/20 the price of this oil was 1.77 per quart, the price of the other I origanaly asked for was 2.17 per quart.
When I went to pay for the oil change they were charging me 21.42, then I protested the new price, and compared the oil prices for them. The maneger then told me I had to pay the higher price and would not come down, even though it wasnt my falt they faled to tell me they were out of the first oil.
The next day when I came in to work, they took me back to the office and fired me and would not listen to my side of the story. I filed for unemployment and they turned it down, now I am going to loose my house cause i was unable to make the payments and may even loose my car also. I was done wrong and now me and my family will have to try to find another place to live and will not be able to save the house.
I've had to get on food stamps just to feed my family, and jobs are very scarce. I just wounder how many costomers they have pulled this stunt on.
I do now that when I was working there (in the tire lube express) they would tell use to not tell the costomer if we messed anthing up, to document it, as being like that when it came in so they would not have to fix it.
I truely feal sorry for any one who shops there hope that they do not get cheated, or thier car dosnt get messed up or damaged, cause beleave me you'll have a heck of a time getting them to do you right.
Thier prices are cheep and so is thier service! To a big investment like your car, it is not worth it! Please take good care of your car, and take it to a good Quallity service station!
