We took a weekend trip to NJ this past weekend. On saturday night our car overheated. The next day we added fliud but it wasnt working. It was a Sunday, so the only place open was Pep Boys. We dropped it off and they said they would look at it and get back to us. They called several hours later and said that our heater core had blown and it would cost 250 dollars. So we okd the work. The next morning they called back and said that the head gasket had gone and it was going to cost $1200.00!! And it would yake 3-4 days. So we rented a car to ome home (which is costing 80 dollars a day). Since then we have gotten nothing but a run around. We called yesterday, the day they said it would be done and the guy told us an employee took our car apart and then quit and they couldnt find anyone to put our car back together! We called back later that afternoon and the manager said it wasnt teu that the car was almost done, My mother in law called 5 mins later and the guy said that it would be another 3-4 days! Finally i got the manager to admit that that was ture, that the guy had quit and that why it was taking so long. Im now going to go after them to pay for the car rental.
