Gordon Bozarth
They did not honor their own warranty pledge. Ripoff

I needed new tires for my late model Audi. I bought the car new and had approx. 40K miles on it. I thought it would be best to replace them with a factory authorized tire. Looked up a Goodyear Authorized dealer and decided to have them replaced. The dealer told me that I should also get a full wheel alignment on the car. Additional charge of $89.99 for a total of $769.-.

After a few days, I noticed that something was wrong with my front tires. I decided to take the car back. Gordon the manager of the tire dealer promised that he would fix it as soon as he could fit me in to his schedule. I finally got an appointment. He told me that the tires needed to be balanced one more time. Okay, after that, I was on my way, only to notice that the tires were still not feeling right. Took it back to Gordon and he told me that, and I quote " these cars are just to sensitive, perhaps you need to take it to your Audi dealer and have them check the rotors/breaks." Okay, I said. The car is still under factory warranty, this should be no problem. I thanked Gordon for his excellent professional opinion and took the car to Audi.

Audi charged me $90.00 and tested the tires only to let me know that the front tires were not within the tire spec.-, which the tire dealer should test for.

So I drive back to Gordon, he tells me, no problem, bring the car down and he will take care of the problem. So I asked him if he would replace these tires. He said if the tires are bad, he will not let me drive my car without fixing the problem. He is very responsible when it comes to customer care! So I feel that he will do the right thing and change the tires. I get to the store and the mechanic drives the car. So he tells me that some tires can be defective and their policy is to get an authorization from Goodyear. "Do not worry". Later in sthe store, Gordon the manager of the local tire deler refuses to change my tires. He called Goodyear Corporation and told him that the tires are not defective, even when I showed him the test results from the audi dealer. I have prove in writing and he still does not want to honor the warranty. What is wrong with these people?

Making a long story short, I am being bounced from one 800 number to another, and neither GoodYear or the dealer will honor the warranty. Based on the invoice I receive a 1 year warranty for my tires!

I have these tires for 7 weeks now, and no resolution. I think this particular goodyear dealer is taking money from customers and provides a terrible service, perhaps knowingly so. Who can stop him? Watch out!!! Who knows what these guys are up to. I will never purchase another goodyear product and will make sure that this story will get published in the local newspapers so that consumer are warned before they purchase a product from a tire dealer such as the one in Vancouver that displays not ethics when dealing with a trusting consumer.
