Ripoff automotive repairs that were not required and didn't fix the initial problem

Explanation of problems with 1992 Toyota Previa to Econo Lube n Tune. Experienced rough starts, driving and rough idling. Vehicle stalled coming to a stop.

Listed below is the dates I made contact with Econo Lube n Tune. I explained the same problem to five different people at Econo Lube n Tune.

05-13-05, Conclusion needed Tune Up and replacement of 02 sensors. $575.42. I don't remember the (#1) managers name.

05-20-05, Returned same problem. Original Manager fired from 05-13-05 and new Manager (#2) Chris. No problem found.

06-03-05, Returned same problem. Left vehicle at Econo through 06-08-05 while out of town. No problem found. Manager (#2) Chris.

06-10-05, Called Econo and talked to Manager (#3) Ross. The problem is worse.

06-11-05, Returned same problem. Talked to person (#4) Irvin who did the initial tune up and I asked if a diagnostic test was done to determine I needed the tune and he said No. The original manager from 05-13-05 said the van was running perfect. Ross didn't come out of the back room to talk to me.

06-14-05, Manager (#5) Dean called. Same argument I complained about having the same issue all along and it is worse. Dean said to bring in or fax original receipt to him and he would see what he could do. I faxed the receipt to him.

06-15-05, Manager (#5) Dean called. I asked about the fax and Dean said he didn't receive it. The real problem was found fuel regulator. Cost $375.00 from the dealer or $250.00 to outsourcer the part else where. I wanted to be compensated for $ spent on unnecessary repairs because all i needed was a fuel regulator. Dean said he couldn't do anything about it he wasn't the one who was originally there and eventually I would need the tune up for maintenance. I didn't need to spend the money now. They all said that and I was getting the run around. I told him I would call in the morning.

06-16-05, Dean called 630pm van was ready. Same argument but I needed my transportation. Dean said he would gave me a discount. Total is $242.28. Dean charged my credit card $2420.28. I returned to have Dean delete the ridiculous amount and rerun the correct amount $242.28. Dean stapled the paperwork together. My van would not start. Dean said he had charged it and they made excuses.

Another tech was charging the battery again. He said to drive around for an hour and the battery will be fully charged. Do I need a new battery, I don't want to be stranded? Conclusion I got a new battery before leaving the lot of Econo. When I got home I couldn't read my statement for $242.28 and called Econo Lube n Tune for a copy.

06-18-05, Returned for a copy of charges to my credit card posted 06-16-05.
