June I bought an extended warranty for my auto from Auto Connection. Their Administrator is listed as: First Assured Warranty Corporation.
I didn't think much more about the policy until I began notifying companies of our upcoming move to another state. I called the toll free number listed on my paperwork and was surprised when I got a recording stating I "have just reached Vanity.com. If you are interested in using an 800 number like the one you just dialed, visit our website!" The number: 888-364-5626 is supposed to be First Assured's number as well as Auto Connection's. I found another toll free number that was listed on my paperwork: 888-332-5745 and got the same recording.
The people behind this are running a good scam on consumers. I checked out several warranty companies before going with this one. I thought I did, but obviously I didn't check good enough.
I don't believe this is a company at all; it's a total scam and I hope those of us who have filed complaints will be able to assist whatever authorities or legal-eagles who wish to tackle this fraud and see them get their just desserts!
I wish I had found this website before sending them my $982.92!
