AA Auto Warranty
Consumer Report

Sent to the Insurance Commissioner of California
I call Jim at AA Auto Warranty after the 3 day run-around. Jim told me he can only get a hold of CDWS by e-mail and rarely gets a response, that CDWS has over 100 complaints their legal department is working on. He said my option is to contact the Insurance Commissioner, I asked why he didn't tell me this 3 days ago... He said "because you didn't ask".

AA Auto Warranty knowingly assigned my “warranty” to a company unlicensed to sell warranties and under investigation for fraud.
I wasn’t aware the warranty I purchased from AA Auto Warranty was a scam until June when my car broke down.
I contacted my credit card company June `12 to dispute the $2.2k paid AA Auto Warranty from December`08. My credit card company, Chase Bank said since this is a “warranty” dispute they will work with me. I faxed Chase Bank the “history” of the scam. I received a phone call from Chase who said they spoke to AA Auto Warranty without success. The rep. At Chase said he would call AA Auto Warranty again and would I like to stay on the line. The called was made and transferred to a Mr. Dupree. Mr. Dupree at AA Auto Warranty appeared to be well versed in the issues consumers were having with AA Auto Warranty and Consumer Direct Warranty Service. Mr. Dupree was extremely sarcastic and rude. I asked Dupree to refund my $2.2k, he scoffed, I asked Dupree to assign my warranty to a legitimate company, you can hear him snicker, he said losing my $2.2k wasn’t his problem, but he would be happy to sell me another warranty.
They tell you good luck filing a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner.
Why is AA Auto Warranty still scamming consumers?

Sent to my credit card company:
AA Auto Warranty sold my warranty to a company they knew were crooks.
West Deptford, New Jersey

December I purchased an extended warranty from AA Auto Warranty. AA Auto Warranty charged $2,184.00 on my Chase Visa, paid in full for an extended warranty on my 2002 Volvo.

AA Auto Warranty made no indication they were really a Broker farming out auto warranties to a 3rd parties. AA Auto Warranty sold the warranty to a company in Redding California called “Consumer Direct Warranty Services (CDWS)”.

AA Auto Warranty job is to give you the run around only after you've paid them. They are brokers selling extended car warranties to fraudulent insurance/warranty companies.

You're supposed to have your mechanic FAX them the diagnostics of what's wrong with your vehicle before the repairs are authorized. AA Auto Warranty tells you they will respond to the FAX within an hour (they never responded). My dealership told me that they have never dealt with a company that requires a FAX. When the dealership tries to speak to them they are extremely rude, you can't get any information out of them, i.E., what exactly do you need us to provide to fix the customer's car.

I finally got a Rep. From AA Auto Warranty to tell me what is going on (after a 3 day run around). I sent them $2.2k, they get their commission, signed me up with Consumer Direct Warranty Services out of Redding California. Consumer Direct Warranty Services (CDSW) has over 100 complaints, how did AA Auto Warranty not know CDWS is a bogus company when complaints started pouring in to them a year prior to my sending AA Auto Warranty the $2.2k?

On June 14 my car lost all power while driving on the freeway. My car was then towed to Marin Volvo by a private towing company
I gave Marin Volvo’s Service Representative, David, the phone number for CDWS. CDWS phone number was disconnected. When I got home I called AA Auto Warranty, I finally spoke to a rep. Named Jim, who said to have Volvo Marin FAX them the information from the diagnostics. AA Auto Warranty would contact David at Marin Volvo within the hour with approval. 3 days go by without a word from AA Auto Warranty.

I gave Marin Volvo AA Auto Warranty’s phone number. Jim at AA Auto Warranty told David, the Service Representative to run a diagnostic on my Volvo and to FAX them the information of what was needed to fix my car.

The following day I went on the computer and found out there are 73 complaints from people getting ripped of from CDWS. I call Jim at AA Auto Warranty. He tells me they haven’t been able to get a hold of CDWS for sometime, that CDWS’s phone numbers had all been disconnected, the only way he was able to contact them was through an e-mail address, Jim said he was lucky if they responded. He told me I needed to contact the Attorney General to file a complaint against CDWS. I asked him the name of the person to contact at CDWS, Jim at AA Auto Warranty said CDWS was owned by Robert Lewis Chapman in Redding California. He said CDWS has been in business for 9-10 years. I asked Jim for the names of the parent company’s of CDWS. Jim gave me 3:
1. Warranty Administrative Services, Inc.
2. Warranty Administrative Solutions, Inc.
3. Safe Data Management, Inc
Jim at AA Auto Warranty said that he has received over 100 complaints against CDWS.

I asked Jim why he didn’t tell me all this when I spoke with him the day before; Jim said it was because I didn’t ask. I didn’t ask? He knew full well he was wasting my time and the dealerships time.

I asked Jim to transfer my warranty to another company, Jim said AA Auto Warranty couldn’t do that. I asked Jim at AA Auto Warranty to refund my money, he said he couldn’t do that because they are only the broker who gets a commission selling warranties to other companies.
AA Auto Warranty lied to Marin Volvo and to me, giving the run-around.
David at Marin Volvo said Jim at AA Auto Warranty was very rude and dismissive when David asked Jim if he received the fax and what else they need to do.
