Two weeks ago my car overheaded on the way to work. I had it towed to Salinas Valley Ford for repairs. The 1st thing they did is charged me $75.00 for an analysis. They said I needed a new radiator, thermostat and engine flush. Cost $620.00. I picked it up 2 days later and it still overheated, same problem as original. Took it back in the next day. Now I needed a new water pump and fan clutch. Cost $545.00. This had now been a week and I was renting a car costing $175.00. Drove it home and it overheated again. Same problem as before. Took it back to Salinas Valley Ford. This time they said it was a blown head gasket and needed at least $2000.00 in repairs possibly as much as $4500.00 for a new engine.
Shouldn't the analysis I paid $75.00 for have shown a blown head gasket?
I think I got ripped off royal. This is the last time I ever do business with Salinas Valley Ford unless they reimburse me for the unnecessay work done after the inital $75.00 analysis. My friends and co-workers have all heard this story and are appalled also.
