In July I purchased a car from JD Byrider in Florence, Kentucky. It was a 1998 Ford Escort with 94,000 miles. The blue book value of this car is 4,500. We bought it for 12,000 after interest. Not to mention that the interst rate was 19%.
The reason why I decided to buy this car from here was because I was 19 years old and had no credit and it was the only place that would approve me. After I had filled out all the paperwork then they decided to tell me how much I was paying for the car.
The car broke down in November and they fixed it with no problem. Then the car broke down again at the end of January. They told me that they could not get the car in the shop until Febuary 9, they told me I could drop it off the Friday before and they would see if they could get to it in between jobs. Well I called back today Febuary 8 to see if I still had my appointment and they said that they cancelled it because I never showed up on that Friday... But they told me it was optional to bring my car in because they didn't know if they could definetly get it in.
So then we had to drive this broken down car an hour and a half away, they had refused to let me go to a JD Byrider in Ohio to get it repaired. Then we get the car their barely and they say they can't get me in now until Febuary 16. They told me I would get no rental car to get back and forth to work to make my car payment, and they say that they do not know how long it will be in the shop they told me who knows how long it could be.
For a car that I'm paying triple of what it's worth they should be calling me everyday and asking me how my car is treating me. Everytime I call up and have a question they get rude with me and are very disrespectful. I think they should be giving me a lot more respect for how much money they are making off of me! Thank you for ripping me off!
