Downers Grove Bentley - Misrepresented condition of car, Reneged on promises rectify situation ripoff

In July I purchased a 2003 Mercedes CL55 from Luxury Motors and had it shipped to California. At the time of purchase they had two cars that were exactly the same with the exception of mileage. The first car had 12,000 miles and was priced at $87K. The second car had 17,000 miles and was priced at $83K. I agreed to purchase the car with the lower mileage but 3 days later, and prior to sending me the purchase contract, the salesman called me to tell me the lower mileage car had been sold and I would have to take the higher mileage car. I agreed and signed the purchase contract.

Two days later the lower mileage car was re-listed on their web site but priced at $97K this time. My second clue should have been the fact it took them 6 days to draw up the lease papers, When the car was shipped I paid the shipper to perform a visual inspection of the car. At the time of the inspection and shipping the car had tires that were completely worn out, was missing both keyless go cards, 1 remote key and the books.

I contacted my salesman, Roland Kantor, and the dealership agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the keys, tires and provide me with the books in exchange for not refusing delivery of the car, which was my right according to the lease contract. When I received the car it was evident the car had been abused but I accepted delivery assuming that since they were a Bentley dealership they would live up to their end of the bargain. The car had large scratches on the bumpers and wheels and the anti-glare coating had been partially rubbed form navigation screen.

In good faith I went to my local dealer and spend nearly $2,000 on tires, keys and a rear wheel that had a large crack and would not hold air. I presented the receipts to Roland Kantor who forwarded them to his supervisor. After numerous calls and faxes over a period of two weeks Roland informed his manager decided not reimburse me as agreed. When I pressured his manager, Kyle, I was told he would need to talk to his manager.

After another two weeks of not returned my calls Kyle told me the dealer was simply not going to reimburse me, regardless of any agreement that had been made. He was very apologetic and said We lost a lot of money on this car and the owner of the dealership says the bleeding has to stop somewhere. At this point I spoke to Kyle's manager, the vice president of the dealership who reiterated what Kyle said. I was shocked and without any restitution. Luxury Motors is, by far, the least savory car dealership I have ever had the displeasure of working with.
