I recently quit working at a Dunkin Donuts at 136 main street Kingston, Massachusetts run by "Cadet Enterprises" phone number 781-585-2898. And I have a few things I Need to complain about.
1) The manager is extremely rude, forces people to cover shifts, will not cover shifts himself, nor train anyone.
2) The managers WIFE works with him, and she brings products into the managers office[where there are no cameras] then puts them in her bags and puts her bags in her car. This woman also takes the tip jars at the end of a shift, brings them into the managers office, and proceeds to steal tips for her husband, as he doesnt get tips in this store.
3) I quit because I was fed up with having to entirely close down the store by myself[6pm-10pm shift, includes cleaning EVERYTHING, throwing away donuts, doing the reports, counting down the drawer and a whole handful of other things] because the manager is not doing his job and could not find someone to work with me that night. When I quit. The manager called me in the morning and told me I was acting like a little kid and I threw my minimum wage non benefit including job away.
4) We apparently have an "open door" policy at the store, but you cannot talk to the manager about anything, he does not listen, him and his wife insult the other employees in Portuguese to their face.
5) Upper management has NO idea how to make their own products. It takes our manager and his wife easily twice the time as any of the other employees to make a coffee and the district manager and network trainer take even longer!
6) We cannot complain about our manager because the manager and his wife are best friends with the network trainer AND the district manager.
7) He has a complete lack of management skills. He fired our last assistant manager over something small, then hired a new assistant manager[a young good looking blond girl, go figure] who never worked a night shift, nor knew how to do any sort of reports.
8) The manager goes into his computer and changes when we punch in and punch out. For example. I go to work about 5 minutes early to count down my drawer so the 1pm to 6pm employees can pack up and leave, I have never once gotten paid for the time I come in early, and unless you specifically tell him how late you stayed that night[we close at 10:00pm, but we usually don't get to leave until 10:15pm] you won't get paid past 10pm.
9) Everyone knows the morning shift is the busiest of the day. People ONLY enter our line instead of the managers wife because she ALWAYS gets peoples orders wrong, or gives them back the wrong amount of change, and the manager tries to keep himself looking good by giving away free products whenever he can. But is quick to fire someone for talking to corporate about the manager and his wife stealing tips.
10) THE BUGS. Oh my god. After 3pm on ANY given day, the store is flooded with fly's, and mosquito's, there's ants all over the floor, there's beetles in the donuts there's spiders in the corners, theres yellow jackets and bee's in the lobby connecting the store to the outside. Naturally we've told the manager about this in both notes and verbally, he will do nothing, and also take down the notes we put on his door.
Please fire the manager and his wife.
