Saranac Lake store... New manager is aweful, managers need to be fully trained before they are placed in the store to run it. The last manager SL had, was a huge loss when he left, unfortunetly for the store and the staff. New Manager should go through management training, learn the business and how to manage one, as well as its employees. Before a manager repremends an employee they should know the facts and have them straight, not have the employee being repremended point them out, and the managers errors. The manager should also know the rules about dealing with minor (employees), and that paretnts are to be contacted, and have to be contacted. The new manager named Dave at the SLK store is not trained enough to be managing a store, and the district manger, Candy isn't much better. It is sad that their employees know more about the store, its function, and how it is run more than the the two of them. I really wish that this corporation would take the time to train their management staff before hiring any one off the street and throwing them into a position where they have the say, but have no idea.
It really is time that someone from corpoate, take the time and come and visit this area. See who you have as upper management, look at why there is such a huge turn around of employees and managers in the stores, really. You have no idea. Employees are fired for stealing donuts, other employees steal cash, and are still employeed, others are repremanded for things they did not do, and employees have to prove the managers wrong, by DD register tapes, cameras, etc. Which managers should know to check and verify before confronting any employee, and should be trained to know to do so first.
Very unpleased with the management staff at the Saranac Lake location, and really needs to be looked into.
