Cracker Barrel talks about equality — here is an excerpt from their Social Responsibility webpage:
Our employees are the lifeblood of our business. It's these employees who help us achieve our mission of Pleasing People. We want employees who share a common value of mutual respect for all persons regardless of their race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, age or disability.
Cracker Barrel Restaurants has been advertising on the Doc Thompson show on WRVA radio. Over the past few months, this host has advocated the following:
— redlining of neighborhoods (steering people looking to buy homes to different neighborhoods based on race.
— shooting protestors at the G20 summit
— if you're being harassed at work and your boss does nothing about it, find a new job
I contacted Cracker Barrel about this show and their participation in it and have not received a reply. However, they have continued to advertise on the show.
So much for "mutual respect".
