HSBC Bank, HSBC Levitz Duplicate reporting to major credit bureaus

I have begun to scruntinize my credit reports after a financially devasting divorce. What I've noticed is that HSBC has a habit of reporting accounts with a negative payment history twice with similar account numbers but you can quickly identify the "root" account number. It appears to avoid the appearance of a duplication, they change the credit limit, last day reported and the account numbers. I have two accounts charged off that appear on my credit report 4-5 times. Each with the same payment history but different account numbers and credit limits along with the last reporting date. Each account has seriously impacted my credit scores. The oldest account is a negative payment history is 2007 but they continue to update each account with different information. As the consumer, it appears this is a strategy by HSBC to completely ruin your credit. Almost like credit score blackmail. Pay us or we'll continue to double report you. I live in Texas where SOL is 4 years. The SOL has expired but they way HSBC continues to report the accounts, you'd believe these accounts were opened last month.

Is anyone else experiencing the same? I'm disputing again this week. Wish me luck fighting the HSBC "giant".

What really rattles me, is the 3 major credit bureaus let them get away with this behavior. Wonder if HSBC pays for each account they report thus the credit bureaus are happy to let this behavior slide. Think about it, who is allowed to open at least two accounts in the same month, same year with the same credit limit? Makes one wonder who is watching who.
