HSBC Auto after threatening to do so, is reporting false information to the 3 credit bureaus. I had traded in my car, we had 12" of snow, so the dealership where I did the trade in at was closed for several days.
I called HSBC on the 21st day of passed due on my payment to request an extension, they granted it, then HSBC hit my credit report with a 30 day passed due alert on the 25th day of being late... Because the dealership couldn't complete the payoff. Then when I called HSBC to complain, they said (again) that I needed to prove insurance, I said I had already proven it 5 times, they (India call center) said they had no record of insurance. So they tacked an additional car payment to my account, and proceeded to call me 20 times a day for 5 days in a row, then on the the 30th day of passed due, HSBC hit my credit report with 60 days passed due, reporting that I was 3 months behind.
And because the dealership couldn't pay my trade in off in the "10" days outlined in the payoff notice, they called for a new payoff and was told the van was repo'ed! So the dealer told me to bring my new car back and take my trade in back. WTF I had the HSBC loan paid off and because they f'ed me over by purposely reporting false information, I CANNOT GET ANOTHER AUTO LOAN.
The India Call Center told me point blank on the 30th day of being late, that they would guarantee to me that they would affect my credit report if I did not pay for the past month, the current month and for insurance that I had already proven. So when I called again to complain, they updated the credit bureaus with 30 days passed due in April and May. They changed historical information to report false info, I HAVE PROOF, BECAUSE I HAVE A RECORD OF MY CREDIT REPORT FOR EVERY MONTH THIS YEAR. HSBC had been reporting to all 3 bureaus that I was paying as agreed, until this month! My this bs should be illegal.
