HSBC Bank
Hsbc

In 2004 HSBC turned in a 1099-C form to the IRS for cancellation of debt without my knowledge.in 2006 I had my taxes done through H&R Block. When my taxes were done nothing was showing that the IRS stated any money was owed. So I did the anticipation loan. A month later i received letters from the IRS and HSBC where part of my refund was deducted for taxes owed on the cancellation of debt. According to the credit card company the account was opened up in 1994 by myself and ex-husband. We had no such card. Did not shown up on credit reports or was ever contacted by this so called credit company. Now HSBC is using different account numbers and re-submitted this information to the credit bureaus. At one time it was deleted and then put back on my credit report under a different account number. I've tried everything I can think of to resolve this with no luck. Any input would be appreciated.
