On October 30th my phone rang for the 5th time. It was Ameriquest. They have been calling me everyday 5 times or more. I stopped answering the phone because I cannot handle it anymore. I told them I would make my late payment on a certain day but the call kept coming and I had to start over each time. The conversation of October 30th was the last. They would not accept my reason for being late and kept telling me I must pay them first before anyone. I explained I am on SSD and had a money problem because of unexpected bills. I explained I cannot even purchase my medication many times because of the loan I got thru them. They changed my interest rate from 5.75 to 8.1% about 13 hours before closing causing my payment to jump severely.
Beware of these people do not borrow any money from them for any reason. They will promise one thing to trap you and then change it on you at the last minute. I tried to contact them as soon as I knew I was going to have my first late payment. They never even replied. I tried this several times. I wanted to refinance. Finally when I called and spoke to many many different people they refused to even consider a refinance. Anyways the last phone conversation they wanted me to take something that I owned to a pawn shop and pawn it so I could pay them.
