Non Return of Security Deposit

Hired Van from this company 23rd August. They took a £250 security deposit, on top of the hire charge, without my consent. Have emailed and phoned re return of deposit to no avail. Have contacted my Bank (natWest) and Trading standards no help at all, waste of time. Understand from this website company has disappeared now trading as UK Van & Minibus Hire.
