I have made every effort to get something done about this account. They say it is listed as a hardship case (which it is) yet have piled on all kinds of fees that have inflated this account beyond my reach to do anything about. I have literally begged the people to do something for months and months, to no avail. They continue to send statements for not only hundred dollar payments, but even over a thousand. I am wornout with the worry, since I find nothing but unreasonable demands on their part.
I inherited this account, it already had about several thound dollars charged to it, by my late husband. Yet I endeavored to pay on it and used it some, as a faithful and diligent paying customer. I paid promptly and regular as I wanted to be a good customer. Sometime in the early part of this year, aol inadvertently charged my service to the account, without my knowledge or ok. It ran it over the limit. I could not help this. They (aol) did return the money, but they had added so many late fees and overlimit fees, that it is now completely out of my reach. It is not my desire to cheat anyone... But in this situation I am not able to continue to pay on this account.
I get just over $800.00 monthly, disability and widow's pension. I certainly cannot turn my entire check over to anyone for one bill. I have been harrassed by their people with calls as early as 7 AM, and as late as 10 PM. I have been verbally abused and screamed at over and over. It is time for this to stop. I have been treated rude and so have visitors to my home. I have been threatened as well. My health is not all that good, and I have enough stress resulting from the death of my mother, murdered not long ago, and worry over my ill sister who has cancer, and yet was convicted for this tragedy and is incarcerated. I do not need more stress and worry with their people harrassing me. I am thru dealing with them anymore.
