I bought a 2 year extended warranty when I got my new Garmin 1300 in around June of this year. Yesterday I turned it in for repair or what I thought was in-kind replacement. I asked specifically if the replacement would be equal to or better than the original since they did not have the 1300 in stock. Was told YES. I was given a quick look and all seemed well until I had to use it today. The replacement was a Garmin Nuvi 40. I have discovered I have a major downgrade. What do it do other than suck it up? Please note: I clearly stated I would be willing to PAY for an upgrade if needed because I wanted the same features as a minimum on the replacement GPS unit.
