Did not cancel service, found out 3 years late

I'd Vonage service last year, and after discovering no requirement for a house telephone, I named to stop my support. Having noticed nothing from Vonage or anyone addressing Vonage I thought the problem was through. Today, in 3 years later, I receive a notice from the variety company telling me that I owe $99.67 to Vonage for outstanding providers. I approached the collection company and was informed to get hold of Vonage to challenge the costs. After I talked with "customer support" at Vonage, I had been educated the consideration was never terminated. I questioned many times why, when they think I owed them cash, it required 3 years in order for them to contact me. They stated they named me (about the telephone that I thought was disconnected and wasn't applying), and emailed me (via an aged mail that I'd terminated and not updated with Vonage since I thought the consideration was sealed). I questioned why they did not deliver anything through the email and was informed they "do not do this." They stated that I never terminated my support and had simply created an "request, " and requested for that verification number. Having been 3 years, I told them I was uncertain where the verification number was, and perhaps when they had educated me that week, that month, and sometimes even that year, this may all have now been solved before they began destroying my credit history over a poor $99.67. I can't for that existence of me comprehend Vonage's business methods.
