My husband and his late wife had accounts with Bank of America for several years. Judy Ann passed away and before he met me, had a good working relationship with BOA.
I met Fred and married him in 2002. On Nov. 19, we were prepaing to leave for our honeymoon when we got a call from Mrs. Barbara Noss of BOA telling us "we discovered that we had given your savings account number to another customer in another state, but we didn't make any mistakes." Consequently, our savings account number was changed without our consent, nothing in writing, just done for us. Too bad so sad for us.
In May we discovered that Fred had been paying on a life insurance policy for Judy and when we notified the company that she had passed away, they promptly paid us the value of her policy, no questions asked. We put that money in our savings account that later had the number changed.
Since that time, we have lost close to $200,000.00 to Bank of America and their sloppy and fradulent handling of our accounts and money. We are hoping to find a lawyer who will help us take them on in an effort to recoup our losses. We are retirement age and now my husband and I will have to work until we die in order to afford just to live.
Bank of America also calls us several times per day, 7 days per week harrassing us about our accounts. We are so sick of this corporate mafia bank we could just upchuck!
Thanks for listening.
