Trek Alliance
Scam - hitting on job seekers

I was called yesterday morning by Jason Nivens at Dynamic Solutions in Atlanta. I can't remember his exact wording, but I had the impression that his company did recruiting. He said his name/company very quickly, mentioned that he got my resume from Monster.com, and verified that I'm actively seeking my next job opportunity. He asked me about the type of positions I'm looking for, then told me that his company might have something for me. He told me that their company just opened their Atlanta office, they're growing quickly, and that they "have opportunities available." He asked to see me right away... Either yesterday or today. I asked about information on his company, but he told me he'd give me all of the information when I got there. I should have known...

I went to his office today, expecting a traditional interview.instead, I walked into a large conference room with about 20 other job seekers and about 5 representatives from the company. At 1:00, we sat down, were given a sales pitch, and were asked to become sales reps for Trek Alliance selling water filtration systems, cleaning products, skin care, and nutritional supplements. We were given a presentation about the products and how we could make money by selling them... And by recruiting other people to sell them (thus the claim that Dynamic Solutions is in "recruiting"). The "company representatives" were even making "oohs" and "aahhs" during the presentation for added effect. The company basically operates as a pyramid scheme. After 30 minutes, they took a break and allowed those of us "who want to stay in the traditional corporate hierarchy" to leave before going more deeply into how to sign up (and spend money on their training system). About 2/3 of us left... We all had been told different stories, and we all felt extremely deceived. However, we all had one thing in common... All of our resumes are on Monster.com. Apparently, they're just pulling resumes and cold calling job seekers... A very manipulative tactic these days.

Again, my contact's name is Jason Nivens, but they've got several people calling candidates. I only met one other person from the Atlanta office... Her name is Susan (I didn't catch her last name). Their phone numbers are 770-645-0107 or 770-645-6699, and they show up on Caller ID as "Global Intelligence" (instead of Dynamic Solutions). They're located in Northridge Pavillion 3,1301 Hightower, Suite 250 (near 400 and Northridge) in north Atlanta. Real job seekers, beware...!
