Reporting false debt, Scam, Illegal debt collection attempt

Afni collections sent a letter dated 02/07 stating I had an outstanding debt of $217.53 with T-Mobil and demanding payment.

The date of the alleged contract with T-Mobile and/or delinquency is no given, nor is the alleged phone number (contract) that supposedly incurred the debt.

The verbiage in the letter is vague, features spelling and grammatical errors, and includes no other information that would lend to credibility or validity.

BOTTOM LINE - I have never had a contract with T-Mobile. As I have never had a contract with T-Mobile, I cannot owe them money.

This is a fraudulent attempt to scare recipients into paying "debt" they do not owe, something that AFNI has verifiably been doing since the mid 2000s. It is illegal. I will be informing them the debt is invalid pursuant to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Section 809 (b).

AFNI has a long and very well established history of not providing verification or judgement letters, so we shall see how this plays out.
