Aurora loan bought our loan 1 1/2 years ago and have had problems since the start, first we had no idea that our loan was being bought out, national city did not inform us of this action, and was still sending payments to them, when i recieved a late payment notice from aurora, i finally contacted them and told them that their payments were at national city, and at that time had requested information about their company policies.
I dont believe ive recieved them to this day, even though i still request them, my loan was bought in may.in july i recieved a notice from my home insurance that it has never been paid and that it was being cancelled. When i conacted aurora all they could tell me that by their records that it has been paid, and payment was sent by national city. When i contacted my insurance agent, i was told that a full payment has not been recieved only a partial payment. Then my insurance agent and myself tried contacting aurora to get the payment. Nothing was ever done, and my insurance was cancelled. Now it was time for aurora to send out insurance payments this year and had no info on my carrier, told them again what had happened last year, and told them that i have been trying to get a new carrier for a year, and have been declined for non-payment.
Then aurora told me that i could get insurance through them at a tremendous rate of 1300.00 a year an that it only covered the dwelling and not personal items. What to do i have to carry insurance on the house being a fha loan. But cannot get it any where else.
Next thing, i recieved a escrow calculation estimate from aurora last week, stating that my escrow account projections was going to be short 2800.00 and that starting in aug 1 my monthly payments were going to increase another 492.33 on top of my normal payment which my monthly payments were now exceding 1200.00. Now when i was with national city i always got escrow refunds every year, now that aurora took over in one year my escrow is short 2800.00 why is this. Looking at this statement that aurora sent me. My previous disbursements for my escrow account was 850.00, my new current disbursements are 3000.00, why was there such a big increase from one year to the next.
Looking at this statement my previous county semiannual was 30.74 and the current is now 2194.20. Was aurora not takeing enough out from the start for my county taxes because 61.48 for taxes for the year does not sound right. So i called the county to see what my total taxes were for the year 2003 and they had told me it was 1100.00, so why is aurora wanting double that a year in county taxes, and why was it only 61.48 the year before. Aurora has no explantion of this problem, and keep refering me back to my county, to see why my taxes have increased so much, which in actual they havent increased that much at all since ive built this house.
Im expecting a new baby at then end of october, and with my wife being off on maternity leave for that time, what aurora wants per month is just about half of my monthly income. And this loan company just dont care, and its not their problem, just send me the money is all i can see. And like alot of other americans in this country we live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford this additional payment, i guess unless we only eat every other day and i start riding my bicycle 40 miles to and from work everyday. When will the goverment step in on this company and do something, these are fha loans and should be watched by the goverment. From my readings in the usacomplaints.com im not the only one that has had problems with this company.
More people who have loans with aurora should do the same and put in a complaint, and the rest of us who didnt have no choice in this matter, and got stuck with aurora through a loan buyout, should get together and put a litagation together and put this company through what it has put us all through, no one wants to loose there dream, but aurora likes to wake you up in the middle and ruin it for you. And send you back to renting, which with this company would not be half bad.
