I made my car payment on January 19th online. I checked my bank account and noticed it still had not gone through. When I logged into my Santander account online it said payment was accepted and charged me a miscellaneous $25.00. When I called to ask if there was a problem I was informed they processed my payment on the 19th through my bank as well as the 25th and both were returned. So the miscellaneous $25 was charged for returned payment. I in turn called my bank account and they said no payments that entire month were ever returned and I could have Santander contact the bank to confirm this. I then again call Santander just to be told by both the account specialist and her supervisor that they can not check and verify why it could not go through and I should just give it a few more days, meanwhile they say I owe them this $25 for returned payment. I will never use their online site again. I Recommend MAILING all payment in the mail! This is not the first issue I have had with Santander charging me.
