We are very unhappy with Ameriquest! I am finishing the work that was supposedly done by them. We have had many unreturned phone calls and unanswered questions. Messages were left several times! It seems as if once they got our money they washed their hands of us.
Ameriquest lost personal papers that were sent to them from us. Our insurance company faxed the same information to them several times.
When the loan was finally finished, we did not receive the amounts that we were told. We paid off the rest of our orignal mortgage. Because of that we did not get the amount that we were told from the orignal mortgage company.
Everything was late because of the fact our papers were lost so we had late fees to pay. That was blamed on the title company. I do not know why?
We were to get a small amount of cash back. We received about 1/3 of that money. I was last told that I need to get in contact with the title company.
We set up an escrow, or I thought we had. Our insurance was not being paid. I was told several times it should be, so do not worry. I had to set it up with the main branch in California as a three-way conversation with my insurance company and Ameriquest.
After three months, we are still waiting on our credit report. I am still waiting on our apprassial that was sent Fedx. Our location is aproxitmately 60 miles from the branch we worked with, and I still have not received it. I finally called California to get it.
We have made two payments and it has already raised. I have complained to the main branch put nothing works. I get a different story everytime I talk to them.
We are looking at refinacing somewhere else. Now we have to deal with the outragest prepayment penalties.
It has been a nightmare and still is!!
