I refinanced my home through Ameriquest. Not only did I get raped on the rate, but a month after I had the mortgage they sold it to of all companies Ocwen Federal Bank. Ameriquest was bad enough with its loan officer who ensited one of my creditors. Then because that creditor threatened to place a judgement on my record Ameriquest increased my rate by 2%.
By that point I had not paid my mortgage for two months and had spend the money fixing up my home to get a better appraisal value. So I had no choice but to go with Ameriquest.
At the closing I was told by the loan officer (Rhoda) that she would be my loan officer for the life of my loan even if Ameriquest sold my mortgage.
Well Ameriquest sold my mortgage and I have had only problems. When I called to speak to Rhoda regarding this matter she informed me that I should pay the disputed money. She was of no help at all. When I called Ameriquest to report her I was told that loan officers are not to help people whose loan have been sold. Rhoda is still working for Ameriquest. Ameriquest is still in business.
I am highly upset with Ameriquest. They will help you but only if you help yourself.
Have a lawyer with you at closing, it will be in your best interest!!!
