My account is currently closed and I can not process cards because when I spoke with one of Central Payment's representative the day before I faxed in my cancellation letter. He informed me there would be no early termination fee for closing my account. So I canceled with the knowledge that there would be no penalty whatsoever. However, when I called one week later to confirm that my cancellation letter had been received, they told me that there would in fact be a $300 early termination fee, which began my fight against that fee. Negotiations started regarding the ETF and therefore should have put a hold on the cancellation of my service because the terms of my cancellation had changed. By canceling my service despite the negotiations going on, Central Payment Corp is now responsible for the interruption of my business sales, and therefore my livelihood.
I have done my research and found numerous merchants that have had the same or similar complaints with Central Payment Corp.
DO NOT USE CENTRAL PAYMENT CORP AS YOUR CC PROCESSOR. If you absolutely have to use CPC for some horrifying reason, do yourself a HUGE favor and have them put EVERYTHING IN WRITING! They will tell you anything over the phone to gain your business, but will not live up to their promises in the end and will screw you every time!
