My husband and i refinanced with ameriquest 2 years ago. It was all too easy... I can remember the loan officer coming to our home at 11:00 at night and advising that our appraisal came back at $100,000.00.
I could hardly believe it i knew that my home was not worth $100,000.00.
I even questioned the loan officer. He said why, your home is absolutely beautiful.
Our home really needed some major work done at the time. We have remodled since then and put about 10,000 into the house.
We are trying to refinance with another company but have found that we can only get appraised for 86,000 by 2 companies.
It is obvious that ameriquest inflated our appraisal and has locked us into our home with them as the mortgage holder.
This is a scam... They take advantage of desperate people! We will do something about it immediately!!!
