On January 28th, an auto accident next to our house sent a Buick into the living room of our house causing exterior and interior damage. The Auto driver was insured through Country Companies, however, my insurance aggent's secretary said that they would take care of the damages and sue the auto policy holder's insurance company, County Companies. Allstate came back with an estimate to repair my house that was only 50% of what a contractor wanted to fix it. I called Country Companies and they offered me even less!
All my wife wants is to have her house repaired. And now they say that they cannot match our original aluminum siding. I have been libving through the coldest months of the year with a hole in my living room, covered by a big black plastic garbage bag. I wrote them letters, my wife has called, but nothing has ben done. The lawyer wants to take 1/3 of the proceeds if I go to court, so I am pretty much the victim here. I am at my wit's end with these people. And then I see commercials on TV where they are trying to tell everybody how fast they take care of claims. I have NEVER had a homeowners claim in the 27 years I have owned this house! Looking fo some advice here.
