I had a payment sent to CHASE on 2/4 and kept checking the account balance and on 2/19 the payment still had not been applied to the account. When I called Chase to inquire about the payment the customer service representative said "the amount of the payment was too large for their payment processing center to handle, and they would have had to send it to the New York office".
15 days and the payment is still not processed!!! The mail may be slow but not that slow!!!
Meanwhile interest keeps accruing on my account charging me more and more. Tell me how a multi-billion dollar bank like CHASE cannot handle processing a payment?
I said this sounds like the credit card companies that delayed processing payments to charge customers late fees and additional interest. The customer service representative then said, "well we don't have any record of receiving your payment sir".
