I have been attempting to pay my loan off early while I am able to afford it and each time I send in an extra payment, Chase splits my payment into 2 interest payments, so the majority of my payment gets applied to interest instead of principal. How Chase can calculate that I owe 2 interest payments within a single month is beyond me. I specify that the payment is to be applied to principal and they still apply it to interest. I am forced to call up each month and get someone to fix it, and each month they promise it will not happen again. This has been happening for 5 months. I have filed a complaint with Indiana Attorney General. If it continues I will file with the FTC. This is an attempt to steal from me by applying my payments into the future so I don't pay down the principal.
