Saw a $1.00 charge on my debit card 12/26/03 named M02*24PROTECT PLUS 8. Thought it to be a banking fee so I did not pursue.
Recieved a $134.95 fee on 01/16/04 from M02*24PROTECT PLUS 8. I never authorized these charges and am aware of all opt-in memberships and programs to which i subscribe. If you have experienced this as well please do your part to post on the net so this company is found out and the owners are behind bars.
It might have been in relation to an opt in pop up that appeared on somewebsite or a spam e mail. I remember going for an offer where the company (seems it was in Florida) said that I would get free movie tickets about a year ago. However I did not give them my debit card number.
Had to freeze that debit card. A google search shows that Cashcontent.com and Netflip.com are websites on which 24 Protect Plus advertises and they have some affiliation. I am not sure if they are the same company.
Was given the phone # 800-211-9745 which appears to be an auto attendant voice mail system where you can not get a live person.
There are no " valid extensions ". My bank is disputing the charge but it takes 45 days to do this and since it was a debit card I am pretty sure it is a loss I must absorb.
